“Our employees make the difference!”
Yearout Community Team
We have selected to focus our attention and resources on education, health and welfare in New Mexico. Each year the committee reviews and selects those groups which best fit our guidelines and those that need our help the most. For the last several years we have focused our efforts on the following charitable organizations:
- Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico
- Albuquerque Community Foundation
- Presbyterian Foundation
- United Way
- A Peaceful Habitation
- Women's Housing Collation
- US National Guard
- Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
- Noon Day Ministries
- Corporate Partner with Lowell Elementary
- Junior Achievement
- Toys for Tots
- National Dance Institute
- Annual food, coats/blankets and school supply drives
The Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico provides the children afflicted with cancer support that is not provided by any other agency, organization or fund, and it is critical to the child’s ability to fight cancer and the families’ ability to cope with their child’s pain and discomfort.
All of the money raised stays in New Mexico and is designated to provide:

- Financial assistance for basic needs such as gasoline, food and meals for families who need them, while their child undergoes radiation or chemotherapy at the UNM Children’s Cancer Clinic.
-
Prizes and rewards for children, to help minimize the trauma of painful procedures.
-
Toys, art supplies, movies, games and other items for the Pediatric Oncology Playroom, which is accessed by children receiving treatment and their siblings.
-
Scholarship assistance to students who have been treated for childhood cancer in New Mexico.
Our chairperson of the Community Committee is Denise Lerma, you can email her at denise@yearout.com. Please feel free to contact her if you want to help, would like to find out more about how we choose the charities we help or if you know of a deserving organization.
