Project Description:
Las Cruces City Hall will consolidate city council offices, chambers, administration, community development, finance, legal, public works and many other departments within a single three-story, 157,000 square foot structure. Yearout Mechanical provided Design/Assist, HVAC, plumbing and site utilities for this project. LEED initiatives include; reduction in light pollution, water efficient landscaping, and 20% reduction in overall building water use and low VOC paints and coatings. LEED Silver utilities incorporated 183 Geo Thermal wells for the heat pump system. Components of the system include heat pumps, hydronic pumps, a ground heat exchanger and a distribution subsystem. The wells were 285 feet deep, 20 feet center to center hole placement, thermally enhanced grout was used as well as 1” high density polyethylene piping. 8” supply and return lines were piped to the geo thermal field and poly vault install with manhole access and manifold.
