Project Description:
- The mechanical & process contract was for $17 million and was completed in 9 months
- The work was preformed within and around an existing operating Fab
- The work was completed on time and without any injuries or incidents
The project was a design/build retrofit of 41,000sf of office, storage, manufacturing and shipping space to class 1000 clean room with mini-environments. Project involved completely new process systems and the expansion of every system including, energy center, condensing water system, chilled water system, secondary chilled water system, steam system and heating water system. It also included new MUA’s, over 2 million cfm of new supply air,120,000 cfm of acid exhaust, 25,000 cfm of solvent exhaust, heat exhaust, acid waste, solvent waste, OFA systems and all process gas systems. Exhaust systems were coated stainless steel as manufactured by PSP and Kem-Tuff.
Project included work in and around existing clean room manufacturing processes. Unique Technical Challenges Related to Project: Yearout Mechanical did this project as a design/build and fast track. The first phase of this project was completed in 6 months and the second phase was completed in 9 months. This fast track schedule coordination between us and our subcontractors was paramount to the success of this project.
